Hong Kong artist Kurt Chan taught in the Department of Fine Arts at The Chinese University of Hong Kong for nearly three decades, nurturing many artistic talents. He masters a deconstructive and reconstructive approach, moving fluidly between Eastern and Western artistic contexts while exploring the infinite possibilities of written characters, landscapes and materials.

In this talk, Kurt Chan invites the audience to explore his “envisioned worlds”: From the deconstruction and reconfiguration of written characters, to the rebirth of landscapes through a scientific lens, and finally to the new meanings bestowed upon found objects. Join us to experience the unique aesthetics in his works.
